I have a 2008 CTS cadillac and I can't get it to start. There is a message that says Battery Volts Low. When I tried to charge, the ignition switch would not turn. What can I do?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Cadillac CTS won't start. I saw a message
that said battery volts low. I tried to give it a jump
but the ignition switch won't turn and the wheel
seems to be jammed. Now the keyless entry won't
work either. Is there a way to reprogram the
keyless entry to get it working again and see if that
will allow me to give the car a jump?

if the batt. is no good you may not have the 12 volts the car needs , so it's like removing a batt. terminal , you may have lost the memory and will have to see the dealer , may be a new batt. will help but you should get a memory saver , a multi tester will show your batt. voltage

When my CTS Cadillac had this problem I had to change the ECM module it's the brains box for the car or you can call it a computer for the car I went online to a company called solo auto electronics their pH number is 1-800-886-9926 give them your car vin number and the model make and year and when they send you the part it's has a lifetime warranty but make sure that you send the copy of the paperwork back with the old part and save your copy of the receipt

Around 550 dollars but they will need your VIN number of the car and you also can check the junkyards and give them your VIN number of the car
