2008 Toyota Solara Convertible Rear Window Leak

Asked by Guru1DWK5 Aug 20, 2019 at 10:03 AM about the 2008 Toyota Camry Solara SLE Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear window (plastic) of my 2008 Toyota Solara Convertible has a small
leak.  The seal around the window seem to have come away or unglued.
Anyone know how to repair without replacing entire top?

Cloth is pulling away from the plastic at lower edge. Thanks for your help.

This is what I used to fix my wife's over a year ago. Both bottom corners were coming loose and leaking. https://www.amazon.com/3M-08609-Window-Weld-Urethane- Cartridge/dp/B000FW61EW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

my 2008 Solara convertible did same-canvas started separating from glass about 8" long at right rear corner. I used gurilla glue, between them, held pressure for 2 to 3 minutes, then put pressure with 2x4's 6in long on each side over a couple hours. seemed to work fine, no more leaks, but it does look not so good, for a few inches on outside. STILL holds though. I was told that one day the glass will just fall out. IF I could find a reputable place, I would have new top put on. Sorry I won't allow someone with wild ass hair, tatoos from head to toe and piercing all over touch my car. IF you have NO respect for your own body, I can't trust you to respect my car.
