Why Are Some Icons Showing On Dash of 2008 HHR LT

Asked by Ninee9 Jan 11, 2021 at 07:12 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet HHR LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

331,K miles on it and it runs great.  The front left tire sensor went out and the light came on the dash.  Soon after, the ESC, ABS, BRAKE, Service Traction lights came on the dash.  I bought two new front tires and two new tire sensors.  The 'flat' icon went off but the others remained.  We went on a cross country trip and the dash icons went off about two hours into the drive.  They stayed off for 3K miles.  When we got back home, the lights came back on.  The brakes feel good, and the car runs great.  What could be wrong?

Most probably a defective wheel speed sensor, a decent code scanner that reads ABS codes will tell you why.
