Rear lift gate

Asked by Dmolds19 Oct 30, 2018 at 02:42 PM about the 2008 GMC Yukon SLT1 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can open my rear liftgate with the button on the ceiling of my truck in the front
above the dash OR with a keyfob but I can NOT open it with the door handle on
the rear exterior. Also, after it is open i can NOT close it by pressing the button
that is located on the bottom of the door. What up?

Hmm in a somewhat older model Yukon such as 2008 they may tend to start acting up. But yes it can be repaired for a hefty price but until then your best bed it doing it manually. If you feel this problem is not due to age i recommend you take it in.
