what type of coil is on the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Limited?

Asked by willmay1 Nov 25, 2014 at 11:55 AM about the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our van is misfiring and has a rough idle and wanting to start with replacing the plugs and
if that doesn't resolve it, then changing the coil.  But unsure of what type of coil it is in the
'08 town and country limited mini van.  I have been told it can be one of two types,
individual coils on each plug or a brick coil that all plugs attach to.  Help??? my email is

I did a quick check and the 3.3l and 3.8l use the coil with six prongs and the 4.0 apparently has a coil for each plug. The engine should be transverse mounted so one bank of plugs are going to be facing the firewall and tough to get to. My Caravan is a'90 so I can get the back plugs from underneath. On later years you have to take off the wipers and panel to get to them. I have no idea about your model

Take it to any jiffy lube type place and they will reset it for you. That is what I do with mine

Turn the key to the on position but do not start it then press the gas pedal 3 times with in 10 seconds then turn it off that should reset it
