I have a 2008 Aspen.Long story short, I hit the curb one day and the next I smelled antifreeze. After a week of smelling it and then going away. my car finally overheated. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere and asked my wife to go get some antifreeze at the local store and that stupid stop leak(i know, I'm an idiot). Well fast forward, I bring the car to the mechanics the next day and he says the entire cooling system is full of sludge and I would have to replace everything. Radiator, 2 heater cores, and all hoses.. It would cost nearly $2300. Am I being taken or can I go somewhere else and have them power flush it for much less. If there is a leak, I will pay for a new radiator, but replacing the entire cooling system from the stop leak. Suggestions??

Id try flushing the whole system first n find that leak cuz if u hit the curb n began smelling coolant obviously there is leak somewhere. U might even get it all back flushed and try that.

Id be concerned if it over-heated and warped a head, if it did, you got more worries than the flush it needs. But flush it and find leak and fix it, if it continues to over-heat do a compression check on all cylinders and a exhaust in cooling system test if it passes compression check.
