OIL LIGHT ON AND BEEPING CONSTATLY

Does the motor tick or rap? Is there an oil pressure gauge also? If so, is the needle up off zero? It's possible the switch that controls the light is bad or you have an oil pressure problem. The light is to indicate low pressure, not low lol level

I do not have an oil pressure gauge unfortunately but the car runs fine. It ticks over nicely. The light comes on after the engine seems to have warmed up and does not beep straight away. The light with the oil can comes on and then after about five minutes the orange exclamation mark warning light flashes and the beep is in time to the flashing orange ! mark. I am wondering if there is a loose wire on the oil sender switch or I need to change the oil and filter. Thank you

I'm having this same issue with my dodge caliber and I just had an oil change, replaced oil filiter, replaced air filter and fluids topped off. I tried resetting the oil check light, no success. After warming my car up the oil light comes on and beeps constantly after 10 mins driving. It cranks up fine, drives smoothly, ticks smoothly.

I’m having this same issue, got conventional oil and that made the light come on after about ten minutes of driving and just got worse after that, switched to synthetic today (only 3 days after) and am still having this beeping constantly, even though I know the oil levels are fine, it’s driving me crazy, I know it’s the oil pressure sensor but there has got to be some connection to the oil change and the sensor going haywire

Same for me it was only shortly after I got my oil changed oil filter changed and fluids topped off that the continuous oil light with annoying beeping started and it’s only gotten worse it’s only after the car gets warm and I reach below 40 mph or come to a stop. Now it’s continuous with no pause when driving under 40 mph.

Anyone with any results to why

I fixed this on my 2007 RT maybe 4 years ago. The oil pressure switch went bad. There were telltale signs of very small oil spots on the ground. I believe that there is a diaphragm in the switch that started to leak very slightly. The oil warning light and that nasty "chime" would go on every time I would decelerate, and off on acceleration. I found some instructions on a forum to change this. Removed serpentine belt. Put the front of the car up high on jack stands. From underneath for the rest of the replacement. Unbolted the ac compressor. Moved it out of the way. Could just barely see the switch from under the car. I disconnected the wire from the switch with my left hand. Got a 3/8" drive deep socket over the sensor(can't remember the size), removed the sensor. The threads on the sensor were tapered (NPT, National Pipe Tap) as usual for a pipethread. My major problem happened here. The replacement oil pressure switch was larger at the small end of the tapered threads than the original (approx .015" larger), so the replacement from (Aut###ne) did not work. I went with the old switch and a micrometer to match one up. Got it from (Pe###ys). Was able to carefully install it with my left hand, then snug it with the socket and ratchet. Then I sprayed some electrical cleaner on the wire and contact for the sensor to remove some of the oil that had seeped from the original switch, dried/wiped it out and re-connected the wire/contact to the new oil pressure switch. Then I moved the ac compressor back into place, took the car off the jack stands and put the serpentine belt back on. Because of problems with the new switch that was too large, getting a socket to fit correctly, etc, this took me several days. I had another vehicle to use, so I was not stuck. If you have small signs of oil drops on the ground and you want to change out the oil pressure switch, see if you can find any more forums with advice on how best to replace the switch.
