is there any way to refill the transmission with it being a sealed unit?

We just recently learned our transmission is leaking. My husband can fix it but hasn't
done much research on sealed units and refilling them so I thought I would for him. We
have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Manual or Auto Here is the fill/check port system on the Auto.

Yah. It's not bad. There is alot of stuff above the fill port. Buy a cheap funnel with a long flexible end. Make life easier. You'll want the car level to check the fluid.
What about the filter? I am looking on RockAuto and found something that looks different than the other selections they give me when I look up the filter. See picture.

I looked that one up.Filters the fluid for the tranny pressure control valve. You will need the main filter and if you want to you could change this one (if you can?). Looks like it's in the valve body. See 314 in the pic.
Okay. After talking with my husband we are thinking, if we can, this filter may need replaced. Do you think if thiis filter is clogged it could be the reason our rpm's fluctuate?
