2008 cobalt won’t crank

Asked by GuruYB663 Mar 06, 2018 at 07:55 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 chevy cobalt that will not
crank. First thing I changed was the starter.
Did not fix it. Changed both crank and run
crank relays. Next I changed the neutral
safety switch. No help there. Does not
show the anti theft light. The only thing I
haven’t changed is the ignition switch. The
battery showing 12.6 volts. Light does not
dim when I turn it over. Any ideas.

I'm presuming you have power and all the grounds and connections are good, right? Scan it for trouble codes, you may find a clue there.

Check FIRST......... BCM 50 amp fuse located off battery in trunk. Blown fuse will cause no crank - no start issue.
