Thanks Tom, I have read anywhere from 3000 to 7500. My sensor says change oil soon, and I'm close to 3000 since last service.

5,000 to 7,500 miles or 1 year whichever comes first. The days of the 3,000 mile oil change are gone.

That would depend on what type of oil you use. Synthetic is good for 5,000 miles. Dino oil should be changed every 3,000.

I disagree, today's dino oil will last longer than 3,000 miles.

Sure it will last longer but if you want your car to last it is best to change it every 3k. Car manufacturers push the long service intervals so they can artificially drive down their claimed service costs knowing most people will sell their cars before the fall out from 10k oil changes catches up with them.

I go 5k with synthetic on my newer Subaru but 3k with dino on my older Fords that are pushing 200,000 trouble free engine miles.
