Asked by Patricia Mar 13, 2017 at 12:41 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LTZ RWD

Question type: General

Hello, I have a Chevy Suburban 2008 Z71, today I was driving on freeway
and I felt like the car was loosing power, right away I thought about Tune
Up or something like that, when I got home and showed to my family they
said was more like "transmission problem"... I got devasted... Anybody
knows where can I buy a new transmission and how much this could be???
I live in Las Vegas.
I use my car everyday for work and I am completely lost right now.
I do not know a good service here besides Chevrolet Dealer.

Sounds le transmission. Check it manual in lower gears while applying brakes and power to see if it slips or won't move. Had to replace two of them on my trucks as well. Check with commercial GM parts dealers I bought a factory rebuilt for $1200 here in AZ with 50K warranty.

I just checked my car, turning on the engine and trying move the shift to D OR R... the car doesnt move to anywhere. So, If I can not take my car to any place, the most smart thing to do is getting a tow truck to take to the dealer... or there are anything I can do to drive my car to any place??

Sorry, maybe I sound stupid but in my country I was an attorney and I never learned anything about cars, here in US I am suffering a little bit. Thank you for all the good comments. I really appreciated that.
