2008 Saab 93 Low Beam Light Failure REPLACEMENT?
Asked by mik1234 Oct 11, 2013 at 09:53 AM about the 2008 Saab 9-3 2.0T
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2008 93 Saab 2.0t and there was a message that popped up on my dash saying
"left low beam light failure," the message only popped up once and hasn't shown since.
When looking at the front of my car one of my headlights looks purple and the other one
is white...I have the xenon headlights, which are supposed to last a very long time. Is this
normal that one is purple and one is white? What should I do? I can't replace the bulb, it
has to be done at a mechanic shop.

sounds defective and that a short temporarily put the light on. high and low beam still work fine ?
high beams work fine, it said low beam failure when the message came up. All I can tell is when the car is on and I'm looking at it head on one side of the lights look purple and other side looks white, like when I got the car.
if the left low beam looks different, i would say you have a defect.
Just wondering if you ever got this resolved. I ask only because I have a low beam failure message and my right side xenon headlight does not work even though I replaced it.
They take halogen bulbs. If you put xenon lights in halogen assembly it will throw codes. It's too much wattage. Put halogen back in and watch the codes vanish. You can only put xenon lights in if you upgrade the headlights assembly.
