2008 9-3 2.0T Convertible oil change

Wife traded her 2000 Cabrio convertible for this... have i gone from the frying pan to the fire? The cartridge oil filter seems like a fair deal, no crawling under the car reaching for it. Any tricks i need to know for the oil changes? What oil should i use? Mobil 1 0-30 or 40? Will the Time for Service light auto reset or do i need a scanner to reset it?

you should use a engine cleaning substance wich you put in the oil and drive the car for 2 hours before taking out the old oil. Then change oil filter, and put in 0 - 40 w oil. Its good for the turbo . After you can put " Tuneap" in the petroltank :) then the engine will purr like a cat :) About service light, you have to use saab's computer to reset it
all you have to do is clear all the messages on the SID and than hold the "CLEAR" button in, it'll chime once and say "cleared" keep holding hte button in until it chimes again and says "service". Voila, no more "TIME FOR SERVICE" message.
it wont work... it only works the one time while you have done it... after you have stopped the car for 2-3 hours it will come back again ;)
sorry, my bad. In NG 9-3 you need to put the ignition ON press the brake pedal push A(customize) push B (info), untill it says "System settings" push B (info) roll B untill "Service info" push B painiketta, untill "%left oil quality/days to service" roll B untill "Reset service ind" push B, comes "Are you sure? Yes or no" choose B "Yes" now it says "Service parameters updated" put the ignition off tada!
I did the same thing in my 2008 9-3 , and it did not work for me... so i had to go with diagnostics :)
