Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey there, can someone help me with
a problem I’m just now having today.
I have a half tank gas but Fuel range
low light is on in my 2008 pontiac g6
GXP. I even put more gas in it (3
quarters) and have drove the car,
restarted it, let it sit while off, started
it and drove it till it went back to a
half a tank of gas and the light won’t
go off. Lmk if you may know what is
going on. Tysm.

I would suspect the sender unit for the gauge is faulty and needs to be replaced. It is not something to do yourself unless you are OK with working on fuel tanks.(explosion hazard). The tank will likely need to be removed to do this.
