How do I know if my sepetine belt is bad on my 2008 Hyundai accent

If is shows cracks or fraying on edges. That is just for worn belt. Watch while engine is running and make sure no pulleys wobble, everything should be nice and spinning like a top. Also with engine off, push on a long part of belt and it should give about 1/2"- 5/8" with a hard push with two fingers, otherwise the tensioner is bad, if it's too loose and also on all pulleys right on center

The most common place for it to slip sideways is on tensioner or idlers where flat side contacts..click to size up
