I have a 2008 chevy Malibu LT 2.4 . when give it gas
it has no power it takes off slow .

I would think the Check engine light would be on, no? If it is , have the car scanned for the trouble codes at an auto parts store. Report back here with the 4 digit codes if you need more help.
