How do you replace the third brake light

There is a piece of trim along the top of the gate, remove it carefully and you will find two locking nut, along with the 2 on the outside of the trim near the top. Remove these 4 nuts and the entire black bar that houses the third brake light comes off. Disconnect the wire for the light and the hose for the window washer and the bar comes off the car. Two screws hold the light in the bar. This is a sealed unit and must be purchased at a dealer. Pay no more than $75.00 for it.
A couple of hints to east the removal of the spoiler. When disengaging the liftgate prop rod, you will notice 4 slots around the connector. Slide a small screwdriver in the slots and life up - it will unlock the prop rod - and you can pop it off. Don't completely remove the cap on the prop rod connector - it just lifts up and you can pop it off. Once that is done, just use your fingers to pry up the top inside housing around the rear window to access the two inner bolts that hold the rear spoiler. Once you have all four removed - just lift up from the outside to disconnect a plastic connector in the top center of the spoiler - and you are home free. The rear spoiler will be free and you can replace the sealed light housing.
