thread was front 7/32nd rear 6/32. Dealer told me that car has all 4 new tire. I don't know
how tires worn out so fast. The car has capitol 225/50r17 98WXL tires. Can the tires really

Bad driving habits and bad wheel alignment can greatly reduce tire life. But did you inspect the tire when you bought the car? Probably weren't new tires.

Thanks for the quick response. Wheel Alignment doesn't look that bad, we got i checked. I googled capitol 225/50r17 98WXL tires and found that these tires have 10/32nd tread depth. This is my first car so i went by their words that car has all four new tires.

Sounds like they were not new tires but not bad tires either. But then again to some used car sales men if the tires hold air they are new. Lol.

Also some owners (my wife for one) thinks that a year old tire is still new and does not take into account how many miles they actually traveled on the so called new tires.

You should have mentioned something when you purchased the vehicle! As long as it passes your state inspection that tells you that your vehicle is road worthy! At the end of the day you purchased a used vehicle but the dealer should not have said "brand new"
