Which fuse is for tail lights?

Asked by Grumpy1949 Oct 26, 2015 at 07:22 PM about the 2008 Honda CR-V LX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Which fuse is for the tail lights on a Honda CRV-LX 2008. Every thing works except the two tail lights. I checked all the fuses under the hood they are ok but there are about thirty under the dash and they are very very hard to get to.

The owners manual does not specify "tail light" or "tag light". The fuse is #15 7.5 amp marked "small extr" located under the dash panel. First, remove the fuse diagram cover and then pull off the panel where the change pocket is. This will allow much easier access to the fuse box. There should be a fuse puller and extra fuses located underneath the engine compartment fuse box.

@jaygreen1113 Help! My tail lights work okay, but my break lights are having issues. At first, the brake lights would ignite when the headlights were running. Since changing the #15 7.5amp fuse, the tail brake lights don't work at all! Any suggestions?

Hi, I am having same issue, I got pulled over yesterday because my only working break light is the center top one. Changed bulbs and that didn’t work, just confused what is right fuse to change, I changed small ext one, I think fuse 15 and still is not working. I already have no ac due to compressor going hoping this will be a cheap fix
