Total electric power loss but then comes back on. I have to reset clock

Asked by LarryS26 Jan 07, 2016 at 10:04 AM about the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3L Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 hyundai santa fe ltd had a TOTAL power failure twice while at a gas
station. No lights, no door chime, nothing. I slammed the door and I heard a
"click" and the power came back on. Started right up. I had to reset the clock
both times.

Sounds like a loose part or connection that tightened itself when you slammed the door
