Does your car turn off while driving?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 08 Charger and have had starter relay issues, but now I have a new problem... while I am driving, the key fob will move into the middle position between start and off.  I will lose power steering and power brakes.  I immediately put the car into neutral and restart it. Today, I was into a curve and couldn't straighten back into my lane.  Thank goodness no one was coming.  Anyone else have this issue?

I would take it back to where you got it! Chevy has a recall for the same problem! SCARY!

I took my car to the dealership and they didn't know how to fix it. If the car doesn't throw a code, then they are clueless on how to fix it. I asked for my keys back and went next door to the Ford dealership and traded it.

Try taking all that excess off of the key ring. Try using just the keyby itself. I bet it will solve the problem for almost all of you.

GuruX3RL2 what? how could they know that would happen. i guess we should start to charge you folks for everything under the sun and then maybe youd be happy. Wait, no you wouldn't because your problem would come back and then youd be upset with them for that. learn that these things arent as simple as you think. if they were, youd be able to do this.

My 2017 Charger R/T Hemi has shut off twice at low speed since I bought it 2 weeks ago. It is keyless. Dealership said it did not "throw a code" . Appt scheduled next week for service. Any ideas????.

I noticed that if the battery is low in the keyphob then it will shut down...I now keep extra batteries on me ....it will let you know when it hesitates to start, that the battery is low and needs to be changed...

My 2014 charger does this it’s salvage .. it runs perfect that is the the only issue it turns off while running at low speed I’m guessing it has something to do with the eco boost ? Buddy installed the srt tazer programmer does I’m able to monitor my gauges. Batt seems fine but I have noticed it goes into batt saver mode when it turns back on automatically
