Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mazda 3 2008 2.0, Gauge says the engine is over heating, but when I check hoses/engine
everything seems at a low temp. The coolant is full and not boiling over. The CEL came on
and I had the code scanned for P01117, but the next day it disappeared. I cant run over
45+ or it says its "overheating". Below 45 it stays completely normal temp or below C. My
question is, is it really the coolant temp sensor, and if it is how big of an issue is it?

Sounds like the sensor is picking up air pocket. Bleed the air out.

Thank you very much for the answer. Do you happen to know the best way to bleed the air out?
