Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS V6 Automatic 6
Speed with a 105,000 miles,  it has never had its
transmission fluid changed is it a good idea to change it
now or leave it alone? Will changing the transmission fluid
do more harm than good? What would be the best place to
have it changed?  Mitsubishi Dealer,  AAMCO, Firestone,
Pepboys?  Which type of change is the best Flush,  Drain
and Fill,  Drop pan?

Ok, first on the question, yes just drop the pan and change the trany filter. DO NOT HAVE IT FLUSHED! These places you mentioned want to flush a transmission, and will try to talk you into it. DO NOT LET THEM! Just a trany filter and fluid change is what you want to do.

Just drain the transmission fluid. Measure the old tranny oil that you remove then replace it with fresh tranny oil. Do this every 15,000 miles or every 3 engine oil change.
