08 mercedes c 350

Have a value cover leaking for several
months on my daughters  car  havent paid
much attention  to it til the other day i drove
it and on a 40 mile trip it blew oil out to the
tune of about 4 qts never would have drove
it if i knew it was that bad then my daughter
drove it 5 miles to work and the lights were
coming off and on wouldnt start tried to
jump it still wouldnt start went back 2 hrs
started got it home was going change the
value cover gadkets out but not sure how to
fix the flickering  lights unlasd the oil blowed
on the alternator and shorting it out  need
some adivce other than taking it to a dealer
