2008 Mercedes GL320 Sagging on driver side

Asked by Christi Mar 02, 2019 at 12:08 PM about the 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class GL 320 CDI

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We recently purchased a used 2008
GL320 and occasionally the front driver
side will sag and become a bumpy
ride. You can sometimes see it when
we park that the wheel sits more in the
wheel. It seems to reset when we park
and turn off the car. We took it to a
shop and they said they saw nothing
mechanically wrong. Any ideas on
what it could be?

Air compressors if needed to be replaced at usually 1800 per axle. If its a leak that can be found and repaired probably 400-800. Its not going to be a cheap fix its a Mercedes, but its not a hard one.

My husband fixed mine. I bought the air bags from parts geek for $100 and it took him less than an hour to put them on.

The actual air compressor had a crack in it and that was a different fix. That cost me over $1000 for the fix at a shop. The air compressor was $850.
