Asked by arunr76 Oct 05, 2016 at 04:27 PM about the 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 Cabriolet

Question type: Car Customization

Rear tires are one size bigger than the front tires. I want to put same size tires
in the front. Will this have any effect in balance and handling or any effect in
engine/transmission etc? Thank you.

I assume you are changing the rims also. Assuming you do this correctly, it will have a negligible effect on f/r balance, handling, etc. But why?

Yeah, understood... MB, in its infinite wisdom, thinks that with all that awesome horsepower, one needs huge rear tires compared to the front, ( like a 1960's dragster ) ;-) plus you could rotate them the right way...
