Oil and rough

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2008 CLS 550 I recently changed
my spark plugs and there was just a little
bit of oil on the threads what could be the
reason for this little bit of oil to be on the
threads there was no oil in the spark part
but on the threads also when the car is
started once in a while there is a rough idle
a little shake but once the car is driven and
driving there is no problem

valve cover spark plug hole gaskets dry letting oil into plug chamber. you can try to tighten valve cover/s or replace gasket/s.
I called the dealership they said for my CLS 550 that there are no valve gaskets does that sound incorrect when they told me that I was lost I have a 1970 for money car though I have a 1979 Malibu I have a Cadillac Deville they all have valve gaskets but they told me the Mercedes is not here valve gaskets and also said they do not have O-rings I feel like this is incorrect
Your dealership probably is correct that there is no valve cover gasket. It may just use silicone sealer.
That is what the auto shop said but I don’t understand why would they not use a gasket and just use sealant ? Does the valve covers come off normal still ? And is there spark plug hole gaskets?
Sealant becomes a very thin silicone gasket. Not sure if there are spark plug tube gaskets or if they use silicone. That is a question for your Mercedes service department.
