Why don't my passenger headlight work?

Asked by gerald1978 Jan 09, 2014 at 06:10 PM about the 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT RWD

I tested my driver side and 1 of the 3 wires
is hot with it on low  other 2 no fire then on
high beam the opposite wire has fire and
other 2 dead but when I tested passenger
side same way all 3 wires hot on low and
high beam but bulb don't light up

check and wirebrush clean the main lug off the battery...goin' to the chassis ground...there is insufficient grounding here~ put it right with a wirebrush~

1 Is low beam hot wire 1 is high beam hot wire 1 is ground wire. The ground wire is broken or corroded on the passenger side.

you have a wiring issue between the switch and the socket. it is not a ground issue. check all the wiring for that light as far back as you can.

Read what he stated.There is no ground on passenger side. If it was from the switch both sides would not work.

Thanks for the input its working now turned out the ground wire was corroded

I had the same problem with my 01 1500. I was getting power from both writes in the harness pulled the fuse for the side was out and now it work I can't explain it but I can provide a video or photos
