Side Mirror

Asked by Lsaborio Oct 21, 2009 at 11:52 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Somebody knows how re-assemble the left side mirror of an Avalanche 2008 (it comes with the turn signal and  all the
toys).  The mirror section felt down. Seems to me that is not broken..... but i don´t know to put it back together!!!

It's been awhile since I've worked on one of these, but if I had to guess... the mirror itself should already be assembled from the manufacture. I know GM usually ships out their parts assembled, and all you would need to do is screw it into the driver side (you said left, assuming drivers side) All that should be needed is to plug it into the harness.

Fell down is difficult to understnad. If it is hanging by the wires look to see that the glued points are intach or broken. Gorilla glue may work to eattach or duct tape to just get it back in place. A new part may be the best answer but try glue first. That is what the factory used but before it was in the housing.
