How do I reset the security in my 2008 silverado 1500

He battery was stolen and truck sat for a
month now with a new battery when putting
the key in the only thing that comes up is the
check engine light no Gage's work... It
cranks but doesn't turn over

Were any of the wires damaged when the battery was stolen? There may be a secondary wire that needs to be attached to the battery or is missing. Also they could have blown some fuses if it was just ripped out. Check all your wiring make sure it is secure and nothing stretched or pulled.
