2008 chevy silverado 5.3 AFM

Asked by Cjhess2495 Feb 19, 2020 at 08:40 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LT Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: General

Misfire on cylinder 4... ughhh well I took off valve
cover found that cylinder 4 intake rocker not
moving took off rocker grabbed an old pushrod
from garage stuck it in there was able to tap on
lifter very lightly and it falls back into place the I
take my half inch ratchet with 1" socket on it hand
crank motor and pushrod from same lifter comes
up but doesnt go back down so in all short the
lifter comes up but not back down why is this?
Seems like if lifter was bad it wouldnt come up at
all... I could be wrong... help!!!

What's the v v lol all that I see when I take intake off is the valley cover under valley cover is an opening in back and front that I can see camshaft from and the AFM towers
