What size engine can I put in my silverado 1500 LT 4x4

The 5.7 will fit, but then you need to have your computer reprogrammed for that motor.

5.3 is way better than 5.7... you can drop in a 6.0 from the tahoe or 2500 trucks. The 5.3 is pretty powerful as it is tho

My 2011 Silverado currently has a v8 6.2L vortec installed. I love it.

It does have the power needed to do the job. Still have to some work to get it tuned the way I want it but as of now it does the job.

If you put the motor, trany, ecu & wiring harness in with it. You would need motor mounts and the exhaust manifolds, and such also.

Actually a 6.2 will bolt right in. You will need it'd ecu or reprogram yours.

I am thinking about the same thing. I have the 5.3 and I want more HP and torque. My gas mileage is terrible as it is so I don't really care about gas mileage. I want a truck that will pull a Razor and a Harley. Flat on the floor towing two Harleys and a inclosed trailer up a slight grade it would go 80 MPH. Holy smokes the motor ran great but it was screaming pretty good.
