Passenger mirror reverse tilt function

I have a 2008 chevy Silverado power outside mirrors. I replaced the passenger mirror due to damage.  The new mirror tilts up when I go in reverse rather than down.  Is this something I can adjust or do a need a replacement mirror?

It sounds like the electrical polarity got reversed somehow. Look/see if there is some way to reverse the plug that powers the tilt function. Otherwise, you were sold a wrong mirror.
