2008 didge caravan whining noise

Asked by Iknownothing88 Apr 28, 2018 at 10:32 AM about the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 08 dodge caravan, well maintained.  153,600ish
miles.  It just started making a whining sound when i
accelerate above 40. The sound seems to be coming from
direct center under the van, i can almost feel it vibrating
under my feet while driving.  Any idea what it could be?
Thanks in advance

There are plastic covers under the vehicle, for the most part they are attached with plastic clips and maybe one or more has come loose. Are you sure the noise is coming from center of van? An alternator and engine belts can make a whining noise too. Also exhausts leaks can start with a whining noise because the leak is small, you may want to check the exhaust parts in the car, take a closer look at all unions and joints in the system.

Sounds like the wheel hubs are ready for replacement.
