Fluctuating temperature

My temperature gauge rises and falls
but does not over heat

Could be the engine temperature sensor going bad or the engine coolant pump malfunctioning

My Nissan Altima 2005 it will turn over but won’t start got three ppl telling me it’s the computer

My 2005 Maxima had the temperature gauge running hot and falling back for a week, and my heat stopped working in the car. Today I poured a half gallon of distilled water into the radiator and my heat immediately started working and the temperature has been stable for the last several hours of city driving. It probably was an air pocket. For 99 cents im back in business!
