Help me with my 08 mini S Cooper hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need a new timing chain replacement
with tensioner. Other problems I'm sure
pretty sure those will be minor.

Sorry,not an answer but my 06 infinity g35 has been going straight from 1st to 3rd and shifts out sometimes,or slowing down around a corner and when I hit the gas it stalls,then kicks hard when it catches.ive replaced the valve body and EMI computer system and it's still doing it.please help with comments.

Price all the repairs to see if it is worth spending the money on your Mini. 12 years old for a Mini might as well be 20.

A new Timing chain with tensioner on a Mini will run you around $1500 for parts and labor. Other issues, I would have the BMW shop that is replacing the timing chain give you a quote on those repairs.
