2008 Honda Civic unsure what kind (it doesn't say anywhere on the car)

Asked by Julzsez Dec 22, 2012 at 12:27 PM about the 2008 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This just started. The other day, we got snow. The day before, car ran perfect. The day after, I go to
start it up and warm it up heading to work, and it almost wouldn't start, got it started, runs like poop.
It sputters and won't build rpm's well at all. If I keep my foot on the gas it eventually does but I tried
moving it and it died. I had to burn my clutch a little in order to move it out of the way in the
driveway. Also the Malfunction Indicator Lamp is now on and blinking. I can't drive it to a Honda
dealership or even NAPA to have it looked at. Any one know what this probably is? Distributor etc?
Please help anybody? I didn't need this right before Christmas!!!!!

usually a blinking MIL means a missfire check your spark plugs and wires...when was the last time u had a tune up done?

Recap, I found out what the problem was.... mice chewing on the copper wiring on the coils. So now I have that fixed AND my engine smells like a girl. *rolling eyes* plus Decon under the car and vehicles parked in my driveway. Pffffft
