I just bought an aftermarket stereo for my 2008 Kia rio. So how do you take out the factory car stereo on a Kia rio so I can put the new stereo in?

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. Remove the center facia upper panel around center of dash/ Take care of fixing clips dont loose them cause they hold the bezel on/ Remove the connectors of digital clock and hazard switch (plug ins) Remove the mounting screws then remove the audio unit / Just to let you know when installing a aftermarket radio do not (DO NOT) use the power supply on the factory wiring harness to power up your stereo use directly to the power distribution center (fuse box) BECAUSE this will cause a conflict on the BUSS line system ( this means the computers talk to each other via the power supply and after market systems are not designed to do this) so it can cause other problems like turning on check engine lights or intermittantly something acting funny. so only use the factory wiring for the speakers . Installation is the reverse of rem
