ONE THUD WHEN I STOP OR GO

when I come to a complete stop, and or,accelerate from zero I'm hearing a
single 'thud' coming from right underneath the rear of the center consule of my
08 sorento. Stop 'thud' start 'thud' like that. Almost like inertia is sliding
something back and forth

Check all the consumer complaints regarding these Kia's and the operation of the AWD making this type of noise. Talk to your dealers as some complaints claim a software upgrade alleviated this problem.
