Ok let me throw a twist on this. Oil pressure gauge never moves off 35 - 40psi but the
alarm comes on saying low oil pressure shut engine down now..... Turn the blinker on
and the alarm goes away until next time. This happen when stopping or in heavy traffic.
Hardly ever drive highways speeds down the road.

Yes, changed oil and filter the first time it happened right away. And checked the next couple of times it has happened. Seems to happen more often now than before.

Get a oil pressure test done to make sure but just might be a bad oil pressure switch.

Why would the blinker switch cancel the alarm? Any ideas? The oil pressure gauge never moves when the alarm comes on. The only time it drops is when engine is off and it drop about 5 psi when at low rpm
