ABS and Brake light on, AC becomes warmer, odometer goes to Zero..Diagnostic scanner cannot comunicate with ABS control module.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Most of the time ABS and brake light are on but sometimes go off. When ABS
and brake light are on, odometer goes to zero, AC becomes warmer, sometime
s engine cooling indicator blinks. I showed it to a mechanic shop and he tried
to get the error code by scanning the engine, scanner fails to communicate
with ABS module but other modules are perfectly fine.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem (ABS and Brake light on, AC becomes warmer, odometer goes to Zero..Diagnostic scanner cannot comunicate with ABS control module) with my Toyota Camry 2007 model here in the Philippines. May I ask if this was fixed and how? It has been in the shop for a few days now and Toyota cannot seem to find the problem.

Did this happen to your car following some type of repair service? After a flywheel/clutch replacement on my 2014 scion tc, I'd have instances where I'd turn the a/c on and the ABS, brake, trac and a dimmed-out left blinker arrow would turn on. I had the clutch replaced a few months ago. It started happening maybe once a week, now it's been 3 months and it's much more frequent. There are no codes and the issue is hard to replicate when it's not happening. It definitely seems to point to a loose/damaged wire connection and not a component failure given that there are no codes.
