Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am writing from Norway. Sorry I am writing again because I have dificulty submitting
this question and the explanation was sketchy. I packed my toyota sequoia 2008 with
fresh synthetic engine oil for 6 months now and will not be
using the truck until years months from date of parking. Truck has clocked 94000 miles

Do I need to change the oil periodically say every 6 months, 12 months. The truck is
parked in a garage on jack stands. It was Toyota Genuine motor oil I used. I made them
to start the engine last month and make it to run close to 20mins. Should the truck be
started periodically as well? The truck is in Africa and temperatures are about 32-35
degrees celcius.

Thanks for helping.

Whenever my friend would be garaging his corvette for the snowy winter he would change the oil, check the antifreeze/washer fluid, and then disconnect the battery. He wouldn't worry about starting it up, but it was usually just November-April.
