Question type: Maintenance & Repair
2008 Sierra ext cab 4WD with climate control blows cold air on one side and hot air on
the passenger side and does the opposite in winter. It works well the next day after fixing
and then reverts to cold one side and hot on the other again.

Is it dual climate control? Pretty fancy set up, allowing each person in the front seats to adjust the temperature for their comfort- something is going awry with the flaps that control all that stuff- glad I don't have that complicated stuff in my car- I just let the windows down- and the swimsuit models I'm usually haulin' around do the same
Yes it is dual climate control. I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes today and reconnected it. It worked fine afterwards. It also worked fine the other times I had someone repair it but then would stop working properly again within the next few times it was used.
ok I slept on it- does each side have it's own thermostat? That passenger side thermo could be the problem
it would be the thing that the passenger adjusts for their own comfort
yes, it has two separate temp adjustments.
ok- I suspect that passenger side temp adjuster (thermostat)- mess around with that a little- see if it is working the way it should
