Defects of BMW 530i '2007

The difference between the xi and i is the xi is all wheel drive. Some of the problems for the 530i include transmission gear selecton only in manual cars. Of course their are issues with the axuillary fans quiting. Some have issues with the VANOS solenoid. Also the common thermostate sticking open, power steering lines leaking. Also look for clunking or rattling in the rear it could indicate ball joint premature failure. Just little petty things that go wrong, nothing really to major so I wouldn't worry about it.
Thank You Robert for your valuable response.

Hi my name is Ray, I need some help with a roof rack system form my 5 series 4 Dr 2007 530xi. I have been looking online and at stores but every way I go, no fit or try back later. I love doing winter sports but getting my gear there. Is so hard. I am saving the room on the inside for friends and cargo also my gear doesn't fit too. I do have the BMW Base Support System but I need an adapter or clamps to be able to attach the thule rack I need. http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemView.aspx?modelId=27¢erId=40800&categoryId=81&productCategoryId=&menuId=3&subItemId=1&productId=83 http://www.thuleracks.com/product.asp?dept_id=9&sku=91725 What is my chassis code? So what exactly are you looking for the clamps for the thule rack to the car or are you looking for the rack itself. Because if your looking for the rack go to your local bmw dealership they have them their for order I think their around 170 for the rack since you already have the base system but their are different types of racks you can choose from that will best suit your needs. As for the thule rack system that you have down is only a universal system it wont fit properly to the car and since yours is so new I doubt they have any aftermarket adapters to make it fit. Your best bet is to go with the dealership one, I you need further help with this just reply to my post and I will contact you back.
I bought a 2nd hand 2007 530i BMW with 121000kms on the clock and one day when driving it locked the right rear tyre and lost control of it and it rolled twice. Is this common and is there anyone experienced this issue.
Just let you know as I have owned a BMW 530i about 100 000 miles for 10 years - manufactured in 2007. In the past one year the following major components have failed - I have had to change the Pistons in the engine - cost a lot of money, the starter motor engine, the eletric motor for the cooling system, the Gaskets as it was leaking oil and the last straw was the transmission (mechatronic) and alternator went this week(damaged the battery in the process which had to be replaced) and it was going to cost me more to repair than the car is worth + I can't even drive it as it cannot run without the repair. Besides I was told the parts (mechatronic/transmission) have to be original and have to be coded to fit your key directly from BMW(and presently they cost as much as the car being repaired) From my experience Ok to drive in the first year or two but after that anticipate major problems and it is going to cost you dear! I just gave it to a friend who is going to sell it for parts or send it to a breakers yard
