cost to change brake fluid

Getting a service alert to change the brake fluid. 2007 bmw 350x1 with 44000 miles. Is this necessary, what will it cost, or can the service light be turned off?

At my dealer, it is $549 for brake fluid and microfilter. Just got the quote this morning. $1300 for Brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and microfilter. Yeah, I'm trading this car in on a Lexus. (My dealer sucks)
