Malibu 9000 miles between oil changes?

My 2009 Malibu will consistently go 9,000 miles between oil changes based on
the OLMS (if I let it). I'm using factory recommended Dexos oil. I'm changing at
6,000 (35% left on OLMS) because it scares me to go longer. Is this normal?

Not a good idea in my opinion. If you value your car do a change every 5,000 miles.
