There may be " pending codes " that won't show up on the dash till they are " confirmed " scan for codes even if the light ain't on . What do the plugs look like ?
This vehicle should be tuned up every 100,000 miles. At 160,000 there's a good chance it's never been done! Misfiring on acceleration points to the ignition system. So start with a tune up and check the ignition coils. One or more coils may be weak. If one coil is failing the rest are soon to follow. Replace all the coils if you find a bad one. Hope that helps! replace both the ignition coils and modules. it is time. my riviera failed at that much miles too.
