2009 Eclipse wont start
Asked by SD_4G_Eclipseowner Oct 21, 2016 at 02:13 AM about the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2009 mitsubishi eclipse gs, manual
transmission. I stared hearing a noise
similar to a ticking valve but not as constant
today. I turned my car off when i parked and
then tried to start it up about 20 mins later
but it wouldnt start. It carnks but then gives
off the sound you would hear when u try and
start an already running car and it wont start
the engine. It just continues to crank. Any
ideas??? Dont really have the money to
throw a shop to diagnose it. Thank you.

In that car takes about 2 hours does it have dual over head cam or twin cam engine if so on top of engine next to pullys you can take cover off or listen to a slapping noise while someone spins it over easy fix less than 100 bucks do it your self 200 mechanic

Also if it did break in this way, meaning it didnt snap while the engine was on or i was driving, will there be any other damage to the engine? Would if have damaged any thing by me trying to start the car several times?
