I turned the ignition key and it will not come out -- and the shifter is stuck in park
- if I put a new battery in it will it resolve the ignition and stuck in park problems

thank you asktrannyman -- I have the battery disconnected and using a trickle charger -- will see in the morning - sitting here with my fingers X'D tHANKS AGAIN

Try the ignition fuse. Mine is loose or something. Remove and replace or a little wiggle usually gets mine back on. Mine is a 15 amp one, bottom middle of the fuse panel.
