I HAVE A 2009 sATURN AURA AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON UNTIL I USE THE BRAKES AND THEN THEY GO OFF

sounds like the brake lamp switch may be failing or could have a problem with wiring

Sounds like the brake light activation switch (which is activated by the brake pedal being applied), is stuck due to age. If you don't want to just replace it, try going under the dash and see if you can recreate the "stuck on condition" by "applying the brakes on and off" a few times with the brake pedal arm.

I have had this same problem a couple times with my 2007 Saturn Aura. There is even a technical note posted on the GM sites for the repair and its really very easy. You have a BCM (body control module) plug, located on the passenger side center console. The pins are showing signs of corrosion. Simply unplug the BCM and clean with dioelectric grease. Reinsert the plug and unplug it several times. This should fix this problem.

I have a 2009 Saturn Aura and the reduce power failure false light comes on. And the car speed reduces when driving. What could be the problem?
